DeltaLaw · iGaming

MGA advertising compliance for iGaming lawyers. Same chat.

In-house counsel and gaming lawyers check banners, social posts, affiliate copy, and bonus pages against Malta Gaming Authority standards every day. DeltaLaw is the same cited legal chat you already use: attach the creative, ask in plain language, and get a first-pass grounded in retrieved Maltese and EU law. A dedicated Gaming Act and commercial-communications corpus is Malta-first and expanding.

How an ad review runs in the same chat

You do not leave DeltaLaw. The path is the existing stream: classify the question, retrieve national law, check published practice, then draft with citations.

  1. 01

    Attach the creative

Upload the banner, story, landing, or bonus terms (PDF, DOCX, or a photo). The dossier stays on the chat so the answer fits this campaign, not a generic average.

  2. 02

    Ask the MGA question

Describe the channel and the claim. Starter cards prefill the composer. Jurisdiction defaults to Malta, which is the home of the MGA licence.

  3. 03

    Retrieve the rules

DeltaLaw searches the national corpus for your country. For Malta gaming ads the target instruments are the Gaming Act (Cap. 583), player-protection rules (S.L. 583.08), and commercial communications (S.L. 583.09), plus MGA guidance when it is in the index.

  4. 04

    Draft a first-pass

The reply should flag missing 18+, licence details, responsible-gaming prominence, prestige or credit claims, and affiliate risk - with source links you can open. Counsel still signs the go or no-go.

Start from a real advertising question

Each card opens the same chat with a prefilled ask. Attach the asset after you sign in.

  • Bonus terms

Wagering, expiry, or eligibility buried under a large win claim.

  • Responsible gaming size

Instagram or display unit where Play Responsibly is easy to miss.

  • Affiliate guarantee

Third-party copy that promises a win or a lifestyle outcome.

  • Youth sponsorship

Brand on a school, youth, or under-18 sports property.

  • Self-exclusion contact

SMS or email after the person asked to stop or self-barred.

  • Missing licence line

Creative omits operator name, MGA licence, or 18+.

Upload the pack - the answer should fit this campaign

Attach the creative, the landing screenshot, and the bonus T&Cs. DeltaLaw reads the files in the dossier and answers against that text. Several files can sit in one chat. Remove a file at any time. A new chat clears the context.

  • Banners, stories, scripts, and landing captures
  • Bonus terms and affiliate mailers
  • Up to 10 MB per file - PDF, DOCX, TXT, or a photo

Who this page is for

Not a consumer tenancy tool. This entry is for people who sign off iGaming marketing under a Malta licence.

  • In-house iGaming legal

You review 20 to 40 creatives a week and need a consistent first-pass before brand or media buy. Keep each campaign in one chat, then open a matter when the file is real.

  • External gaming counsel

Clients send screenshots in Slack. Use the same workspace to stress-test the position, cite the instrument, and draft the client memo with the existing email approval card.

  • Compliance and marketing legal

You own the checklist: social, affiliates, sponsorships, and on-site promotions. Licensees stay liable for third parties. The chat is the place to record what you asked and what the sources said.

Official sources this vertical is built around

Primary texts first. Guidance does not outrank the regulations. Enforcement pages show how the Authority has acted in public.

  • Laws of Malta - Gaming Act and subsidiary legislation

Cap. 583 and S.L. 583.01 to 583.12, including player protection (583.08) and commercial communications (583.09).

  • MGA Commercial Communications Committee Guidelines

Practical reading of the regulations: responsible-gaming prominence, URLs, social, and sponsorships. Guidance, not a substitute for the law.

  • MGA Enforcement Register

Public suspensions, cancellations, and notices under the Gaming Act. Use it to see outcomes, not to invent unpublished CCC rulings.

Your data stays under your control

  • GDPR by design

EU-hosted processing, minimal data collection, and a real right to erasure - delete your account and data in one request.

  • Documents - only for your answers

Uploaded files are used solely as context for your questions and are not shared with third parties.

  • Full wipe in one click

New chat erases the conversation history and uploaded case materials.

Questions counsel actually ask

Does this replace a gaming lawyer?

No. DeltaLaw is an AI assistant. It helps you retrieve rules, structure a first-pass, and prepare a memo. A licensed lawyer still owns the sign-off, especially before a campaign goes live or a regulator complaint lands.

Is this a different chat from the main product?

No. This page is a funnel. You use the same account, the same /chat stream, and the same dossier upload. The difference is the starting question and the Malta-first iGaming framing.

Does an MGA licence let us advertise everywhere?

No. A Malta authorisation does not replace a UKGC, ADM, or other local permission. If the creative targets another country, say so in the question and treat that jurisdiction as a separate retrieval.

Are affiliates in scope?

Yes as a legal question. Licensees remain responsible for people who promote on their behalf. Upload the affiliate copy and ask whether it meets commercial-communications standards and player-protection limits.

What if the dedicated gaming corpus is still expanding?

Say so in the file. Do not treat a general Maltese-law hit as a complete S.L. 583.09 review. Check the cited link. If the instrument is missing, open the official text on legislation.mt or mga.org.mt.

How do we keep a campaign file?

Stay in one chat for the first-pass, then save as a matter when you need a client record, tasks, and an email draft. The Counsel plan adds workspace and the lead marketplace.
